I think the recession has made us all much more aware of how much waste we accumulate. Well it certainly made me aware so I’ve been doing my bit by composting and recycling as much of my rubbish as possible. I’m also hoping to grow as much food as possible this year in my veggie patch so let’s hope the summer sunshine comes back to help out with that.
But for Earth Day I’m doing something special.
I’m planting 50 sunflowers randomly where I live and hopefully they will stop some people in their tracks and make them smile and think what a lovely place we live in.
We all need to
Stop, Look and Listen
more often and
Start Seeing and Hearing
what’s around us
and concentrate more on saving it rather than destroying it.
