So who’s sick of pancakes?
Not me … I had some for breakfast!
How do you make yours?
Mine consists of the following and makes about 5 fat fluffy pancakes or double the amount skinny ninny ones, if that’s what you prefer :O)
2 cups self raising flour
1/4 cup caster sugar
1 1/2 cups milk
Place the flour and sugar in a bowl and whisk
In a separate bowl whisk the eggs and milk
Pur the wet into the dry and mix gently
Leave the batter to sit for at least half an hour
(this gives you time to prepare the fillings – the fun bit)
When you’re ready to make them heat the pan on the hob
I have a little trick for greasing the pan …
Get yourself a knob of butter (the real stuff!)
Place the knob of butter in some kitchen towel.
Then rub the pan with the butter to grease it :O)
(This is how I grease my baking tins for sponges etc)
Pour in your batter
We’re almost there
When bubbles start to appear on top it’s ready to turn over
Finally you end up with
fat fluffy scrumdiddlyumpscious pancakes.
I am a bit of a traditional girl and normally always go for sugar and lemon.
However I also love nutella, banana and chopped hazlenuts
Mmmmmm think I might just make up another batch of batter now ……..
