I finally got to the famous Volvo Ocean Race (30th June – 8th July) in Galway.
Despite the rain, the muck (thank goodness I wore my wellies) I had a lovely day and it was almost like being on holiday as I heard so many different accents and languages around me throughout the day.
There’s definitely “something for everyone” and it’s all within walking distance which is fantastic. The only thing I would say is WEAR YOUR WELLIES.
For those of you that follow me you will know that I live in Roscommon. There’s a lot of work going on at the moment to promote our County and I’m happy to say that I’m doing my bit. I’ve been away from my blog for the past few days due to my kitchen table being covered in sheep! Not what you think. I’ve been busy making cards to help promote Roscommon.
As part of the promotion campaign we have a Roscommon stand at the Volvo Ocean Race with a whole host of information on our County and all that it has to offer (Stand A6-A9 on Mulvoy Quay, Dock Road).
A fabulous new website has been created too and a brochure full of information on the County.
Happy Weekend everyone!
