Took these a few days ago, although it feels like a lifetime ago now. This dress is definitely one of my favs €7 from @ncbi_retail with original tags on. It’s rare I find lovely long dresses at 5ft 8 but this is perfect. That’s what I love about charity shops, there’s quite often gems hidden in there that are so worth the rummaging. Not only are they pretty, they are good value, you’re helping charities and being part of the circular economy. I buy from the high street too. I’m not perfect. I try to keep a balance. Do you consider the environment when shopping for clothes? Did you know that textile waste is a bigger issue than plastic pollution? Not here to lecture. But it’s something we all need to be thinking about. These hot summers, storms and flooding are all part of global warming and WE CAN do something. If we all made small changes we can eventually make big differences x

This was me at 3.26 am. I had the hippy hippy shakes (can laugh now but I assure you I wasn’t then) for about two hours. The joint pains and headache all night, and still. Taking panadol every 6 hours and drinking lots of water, as advised.

Most people making awful, sarcastic, racist, hateful comments probably have at one time or another shared something about “being kind” or stood outside their doors clapping in the last 18 months … but today, the day after a game that brought so much joy to so many people they are pathetic hypocrites!

Deeply disappointed in all the hate that social media generates in our world. It’s not just football, there’s so much bullshit that goes on behind these squares. People need to realise action speaks louder than words. Sharing a post on social media or using a hashtag isn’t enough. Just be fucking nice people!!

I got the magazine rack a couple of weeks ago for €4. Painted it …. White, of course, and finally today I sanded it and styled it up into a little portable art studio for my niece 😍 I’ll need to keep an eye out for another one for my nephew now. And maybe one for me because I love how it came out 😍 What do you think? Is it likey or no likey?

Super fun day with my niece. She had her first riding lesson this morning and is totally smitten. We’ve drawn horses, talked about horses, stopped on the side of the road to watch horses and this afternoon we made this one, Rosie. I’m not gonna lie I kind of wanted to keep her. She turned out very cute. That’s the last of that gorgeous rosey fabric too, from a much lived brushed cotton pillow case 😂 So many projects planned for her but I’ve learned my lesson, the hard way, not to tell her until it’s 💯 going to happen. They remember EVERYTHING! The forlorn “but you said” is not want I want to see it hear 😂😂 Currently on the hunt for the first Harry Potter book to read to her, she’s a big HP fan. Also looking for a tent because I may have promised camping. Oh my God 🙈🙈🙈 only for her!! What was I thinking. It will be fun won’t it!?

And that my friends was what I call a Sunday well spent. I slept in until 10, ate breakfast in the garden, read a book, swang in my swing chair and didn’t do a scrap of housework or work work. Just home from a fabulous swim in the Shannon and himself has the vino chilled and dinner made. 😂😂😂 lol last bit obvs not true. I put the wine in the fridge before I left and I made curry yesterday so I’ve got leftovers tonight. 😂😂🍽🍷
