What will I learn at basic machine embroidery?
You will learn the basics of free motion machine embroidery ie. how to draw and write with your sewing machine
What do I bring?
Your sewing machine and a free motion foot often called a darning foot (don’t worry I have some that can be borrowed if you don’t have one).
What will I take home?
You will take home a piece of machine embroidered artwork and bucket loads of ideas, tips and techniques.
Workshops at Michelle’s charming country cottage have often been described as “an idyllic retreat” and compared to “a day at the spa”. They are a delightful way to spend a few hours in a truly inspirational setting in rural Ireland. You will receive a warm welcome on arrival and expert tuition but at the same time actively encouraged to explore your own creativity. It’s hard not to feel creative in Michelle’s cottage where you are surrounded by her upcycled pieces of furniture and shelves filled with all sorts of sewing notions, spools of thread and crafty bits and pieces. Not only that but Michelle’s enthusiasm for all things crafty is highly infectious!
