No Christmas tree is complete without a beautiful Christmas Angel adorning the top and what could be better than your very own handmade angel that will do doubt become a family heirloom.

Whether you are making her as a gift (she’s a perfect Wedding gift) or for yourself you will have a lovely day at Michelle’s idyllic cottage surrounded by country fields in the West of Ireland.

 

What do I need to bring to Heirloom Christmas Angel Workshop? 

Just yourself, your sewing machine* (use Michelle’s if you don’t have one) and a packed lunch.   Everything you need to make your angel will be provided by Michelle including access to her emporium of sewing notions, laces and trims.  Not to mention tea, coffee and sweet treats! If you have some fabric, lace or trimmings at home that are of particular sentimental value bring them along.  

 

What will I take home?

You will take home a beautiful handmade Heirloom Christmas Angel along with lots of tips and tricks and buckets of ideas to continue sewing at home.   There’s a lot to get done in the day so sometimes you may not complete the angel entirely but I will ensure you have all the instructions needed to finish her at home.

 

*Please note you must already know how to use a sewing machine or have at least attending my Sewing Basics Workshop.

Workshops at Michelle’s charming country cottage have often been described as “an idyllic retreat” and compared to “a day at the spa”. They are a delightful way to spend a few hours in a truly inspirational setting in rural Ireland. You will receive a warm welcome on arrival and expert tuition but at the same time actively encouraged to explore your own creativity. It’s hard not to feel creative in Michelle’s cottage where you are surrounded by her upcycled pieces of furniture and shelves filled with all sorts of sewing notions, spools of thread and crafty bits and pieces. Not only that but Michelle’s enthusiasm for all things crafty is highly infectious!
