Yay! I can crochet!!!
Finally!
Apologies for the rather overused post title but it’s true.
After lots of many frustrating hours looking at you tube videos, magazine tutorials, blog tutorials and books I finally got it!
It just all of a sudden came together.
I have wanted to crochet for so long now.
I am constantly oooohing and ahhhhing over images I see on blogs and pinterest and then when I see the word crochet I tut to myself but not anymore :O)
I started with my Mollie Makes freebie crochet hook.
Not, I know, ideal for a beginner, it is recommended that you use a 4mm hook but I am ‘one of those people’. Despite having a whole set of crochet hooks in all different sizes this was the one on the front of the magazine saying “use me, use me” so I sat for hours until I eventually made one of these …
then I made this ..
and then this …
and then this …
and I now have a whole rainbow of gorgeous crochet roses which I’m gathering together to make a little something out of soon.
I’m soooooooooooooooooo excited!
I can see why people recommend us to “learn something new”, it’s so satisfying.
I’ve already shared my new knowledge and taught a few people how to make these too.
